When Leon's camera unexpectedly breaks, he has to borrow a used one from his mom's antique store. But as soon as he snaps the first picture, something strange happens – the ghost of the camera's previous owner appears and they become inexplicably linked.

After accidentally taking Leon's body for a joy ride, the ghost introduces himself as Cody, a queer punk rocker who died decades ago. Despite not remembering how he died, they both decide to investigate in hopes of ending the haunting.

Leon is dealing with a recent breakup, recovering from his time in the military, and trying to make a name for himself as a photographer. So, spending time with a ghost from a bygone era seems like a unique way to pass the time. As they explore Chicago together, sharing their pasts and uncovering secrets, they realize they have more in common than they thought. Along the way, they bond over music, visit planetariums, and enjoy frozen drinks.
